Learning Environment Related Factors Affecting Afghan EFL Undergraduates’ Speaking Skill

Of the four language skills, speaking is usually considered an indicator of proficiency in a language. As EFL student, one should master skill (Nazara, 2012). Unfortunately, most Afghan undergraduates are not as good at they other three English skills (reading, writing and listening). Most undergraduate learners reading writing, but part oral communication, accurate fluent (Zia Sulan, 2015). Hence, this study was conducted to investigate factors that affect learners’ Sayed Jamaluddin Afghani University Kunar, Afghanistan. The specifically investigated learning environment-related affected student skill. A mixed method used for study, i.e., quantitative (questionnaire) qualitative (interview). questionnaire data were descriptively analyzed SPSS version 20 presented figures tables. interview thematically presented. total 90 students (40 junior 50 senior) purposively selected participated study. findings revealed large classes lack basic facilities classroom some environment current study’s will hopefully help teachers educators be attentive creative building proper reduce students’
